CIAMO students represented well at the International Voodoo Festival held in Ouidah on January 10th. Led by instructors Sim and Romain, a group of festively costumed CIAMO children performed traditional dancing before a crowd of hundreds of people at the Point of No Return on the beach of Ouidah. Numerous dignitaries, including the ambassadors of France and the United States, were present, as was Beninese music superstar Angelique Kidjo, who resides in New York but made the trip especially for this event. We are proud of the progress of our students, who gave a lively and skilled performance in front of this impressive crowd.
