CIAMO in
the past month has made great progress in holding professional development
programs for professional artists. As we’ve mentioned before, CIAMOStar our program for musicians has
taken off. We think it will be very successful, thanks to a group of very
serious artists and teachers.
This week
we started another program – this time for visual artists. Over the school year
we will hold a series of workshops covering figure drawing methods,
photography, new contemporary art forms, and a whole host of other things led up by our visual arts volunteers.
On Tuesday, we hosted our first workshop in figure drawing. It was attended by 12 artists who were really interested and have already started asking for more. The session was led by Lydia Dambekalns our Arts Curriculum Specialist.
